Names Of The Some Of The Prominent Alabama Scholarships:

The following are some of the prominent Alabama scholarships that are being offered to students that are residents of the state of Alabama to apply for scholarships :

1. Alabama Student Assistance Program

Objective: For Full Time Undergraduate Studies Only held in designated institutions that are eligible 2-year and 4 year institutions
Eligibility: Applicant must be a state resident of Alabama
Selection Basis: Applicant must have financial need
Requirements: FAFSA and proof of eligibility
Scholarship Amount: $300-$5,000

The application for free application for Federal Student Aid needs to be submitted.

 

The scholarship programs form should be duly filed in and it is available from the high school guidance office or at the financial aid office of the institution that the applicant intends to attend.

2. Alabama GI Dependents’ Educational Benefit Program

Objective: For Full Time Undergraduate Studies
Selection Basis: Applicant must have financial need
Eligibility: Students who are children or spouses of eligible Alabama veterans and those that attend public post education institutes in the state.

The forms for scholarship applications are available to the student from the office of the Alabama State Department of Veteran Affairs in Montgomery or from the County veteran service officer in the state.

3. Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program:

Objective: For Full Time Undergraduate Studies Only held in designated institutions that are eligible 2-year and 4 year institutions
Eligibility: Should be high school senior and US citizen residing in Alabama, must produce proof of high academic achievement, and be nominated by a guidance counselor
Scholarship Amount: $1,500

4.Alabama Scholarship For Dependents Of Blind Parents :

Alabama Department Of Rehabilitation

Objective: For Full Time Undergraduate Studies Only held in designated institutions that are eligible 2-year and 4 year institutions
Eligibility: Should be a resident of Alabama and from a family where the head of the family is blind. The family should not have the financial means for the provision of attendance at an Alabama institution that is post secondary. The students should apply within 2 years of their high school graduation.
