American Legion Ohio Auxiliary Past President’s Parley Nurse’s Scholarship

Objective Of The Scholarship: For Undergraduate Studies at 2 and 4 year institutions

Eligibility Criteria For The Applicant: Applicant or the parent should be a member or a participant of the American Legion Auxiliary and he/she must be a resident of Ohio. The Applicant must also be a descendant of a veteran or the dependant of a veteran or spouse of a veteran and this should be mentioned in the scholarship applications.

 

Additional Requirements: The applicant must have a major career interest in nursing

 

Scholarship Amount: $300-$750

Harold K Douhit Scholarship

 

Objective of The scholarship: For sophomore junior senior studies that are conducted at designated institutions in the US.

 

Eligibility Criteria Of The Applicant: Applicant should be in high school, must be a US citizen residing in the state of Ohio and he/she must also have a GPA score of 3.0 GPA

 

Other Requirements: The applicant must be a county resident of Lorain, Cuyahoga, Erie, Wood, Ottawa, Lucus or Sandusky

 

Additional Requirements: Essay, two Faculty recommendation letters and transcript

 

Scholarship Amount: $1500

American Legion Ohio Auxiliary Scholarship

Objective Of The Scholarship: For Freshman Studies at post secondary institutions in the state

 

Eligibility Criteria of The Applicant: Applicant or the parent of the applicant must be a member or a participant of the American Legion Auxiliary. The applicant should also be in high school senior residing in the state of Ohio.

 

Other Information: Applicants that apply for scholarships are selected on the basis of being a dependent of a veteran or the dependent of a veteran or deceased veteran in the Grenada conflict, the Persian Gulf War, The Lebanon Conflict, The Korean War, World War 1, World War 2 or the Vietnam War.

 

Scholarship Amount: $1000 -$1500

David L Stashower Scholarship

 

Objective Of The Scholarship: For Full Time Senior Studies only held in four year institutions

 

Eligibility Criteria For The Applicant: The applicant should be a state resident and this should be mentioned in the scholarship applications.

 

Basis of Selection: The applicant should also be a major in advertising, public relations, communications, graphics/arts
