Names Of The Some Of The Prominent Washington Scholarships
The following are some of the prominent Washington scholarships that are being offered to students that are residents of the state of Washington who apply for scholarships :
1. Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship
Objective: For Full Time High School Studies Only held eligible 2-year and 4 year postsecondary institutions
Eligibility: Applicant must be a state resident of Washington and a US citizen in order to apply for the scholarship programs

2.Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program
Objective: For Full Time Studies at accredited 2 and 4 year institutions
Selection Basis: The applicant must be a graduate of a Washington Public School
Other Requirements: proof of eligibility, essay, transcript and recommendations
Eligibility: Applicant must be a state resident and a citizen of the USA and this should be mentioned in the scholarship applications
Scholarship Amount: $1000-$2000
Deadline For Application: 10th February

3.The American Legion Department Oratorical Contest
Objective: For Full Time Undergraduate Studies accredited postsecondary institutions
Eligibility: The Applicant must be a US citizen that resides in Washington and he must also be in high school
Other Information: The applicant must also participate in the District, Post, Department contests
Scholarship Amount: $7,800

4.Authur And Doreen Parrett Scholarship Trust Fund
Objective: For Full Time sophomore, junior, senior, masters, doctorate and first professional studies held in post secondary institutions
Eligibility: Should be a resident of Washington and a USA citizen
Requirements For The Application: Recommendations and transcript
Scholarship Amount: $2500-$3600
Deadline For The Application: January 31st

5.Washington State Need Grant:
Objective: For full time undergraduate studies at 2 and 4 year eligible post graduate institutions
Eligibility: Should be a resident of Washington and a USA citizen. This should be specified in the student application.
Requirements For Application: Proof of eligibility and FAFSA
Scholarship Amount: $803-$6234
Other Requirements: The scholarship is given to those families that fall under low income and the applicants must not be pursuing any degree in theology
