Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to America Edu. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and America Edu ("America Edu," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the website located at america.edu, including all content, features, tools, educational resources, and services made available through it (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform in any way — including browsing pages, creating an account, conducting searches, submitting reviews, or clicking "I Agree" — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

Platform Description

America Edu is a free-to-use educational information platform that provides resources to help students, families, and educators in the United States navigate higher education and K-12 school options. The Platform offers:

• Searchable databases of accredited colleges, universities, and K-12 schools across the United States
• Scholarship and financial aid search tools and directories
• Information about online degree programs and distance learning options
• Educational articles, guides, and data on college admissions, career paths, and majors
• College and school reviews submitted by users of the Platform
• Tools for comparing institutions, saving lists, and tracking deadlines
• Links to official institutional websites, government education resources, and third-party scholarship databases

America Edu is an informational resource. We are not a college, university, school, or accrediting body. We do not enroll students, award degrees, confer credentials, or guarantee admission to any institution. Information on our Platform is provided for general educational purposes only.

Eligibility

The Platform is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. Users under the age of 18 should review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, school, or educational institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and that entity.

The Platform is operated from the United States and is intended primarily for users in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations.

User Accounts

Certain features of the Platform — including saving college lists, tracking scholarship applications, and submitting reviews — require you to create a registered user account.

Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated. You may not impersonate any person or entity, create an account under a false name, or use an email address you do not own or control.

Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@america.edu if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

One Account Per User

Each individual may maintain only one active America Edu account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, access restrictions, or review policies is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Acceptable uses of the Platform include:

• Searching for and comparing colleges, universities, and K-12 schools
• Researching scholarship and financial aid opportunities
• Reading educational articles, guides, and data resources
• Submitting honest, good-faith reviews and ratings based on genuine personal experience
• Using saved lists and tracking tools for legitimate educational planning purposes
• Sharing Platform content via links for personal, non-commercial educational purposes

Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will NOT use the Platform to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Submitting false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent reviews, ratings, or information about any institution, program, or individual
• Posting or transmitting content that is harassing, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful to any individual or group
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other users' accounts, or America Edu's backend systems
• Using automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other tools to harvest data from the Platform without express written permission from America Edu
• Reproducing, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative works based on Platform content without prior written authorization
• Using the Platform for commercial solicitation, spam, or unsolicited promotional communications to other users
• Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other malicious code or content
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure
• Using the Platform to collect personal information about other users without their consent
• Violating any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation in connection with your use of the Platform

User-Generated Content

Your Content

When you submit reviews, ratings, comments, or any other content to the Platform ("User Content"), you retain ownership of your content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant America Edu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.

Content Standards

All User Content must be accurate, based on genuine personal experience, and compliant with these Terms. You are solely responsible for any User Content you submit. America Edu does not endorse User Content and does not pre-screen submissions, though we reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our content guidelines.

Content Removal

America Edu reserves the right to remove any User Content at any time, for any reason, without notice. If you believe User Content on the Platform violates your rights or these Terms, please contact us at content@america.edu with details of your concern.

Intellectual Property

The America Edu Platform, including its design, layout, logos, trade names, graphics, text, database compilations, software, and all other content created by or for America Edu (excluding User Content and third-party content), is the exclusive property of America Edu and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute Platform content for commercial purposes without written permission
• Create derivative works based on Platform content
• Use America Edu's trademarks, logos, or branding without written authorization
• Frame or embed the Platform within another website without permission
• Download or systematically extract data from the Platform's college or scholarship databases

All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by America Edu.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform contains links to third-party websites, including college and university official websites, government resources, scholarship sponsors, and other external services. These third-party services are not owned or controlled by America Edu, and we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy.

Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation by America Edu of those sites or their operators. You access third-party sites entirely at your own risk and subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH IT ARE OFFERED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

AMERICA EDU EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION.

Specifically, America Edu does not warrant that:

• Information about colleges, universities, schools, or scholarship programs is current, complete, or accurate at all times — institutional information changes frequently and users should verify details directly with institutions
• The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• Use of the Platform will result in college admission, scholarship awards, or any other specific educational outcome
• Third-party links accessible through the Platform are accurate, safe, or maintained

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AMERICA EDU AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, DAMAGE TO REPUTATION, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF AMERICA EDU HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, America Edu's liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event shall America Edu's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless America Edu and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

America Edu reserves the right to assume exclusive control of the defense of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, in which case you agree to cooperate fully with our defense of such claims.

Termination

America Edu may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or acted in a way that harms other users, America Edu, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@america.edu or using the account deletion option in your Profile Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — shall survive any termination of these Terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

YOU AND AMERICA EDU AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable, then the entire arbitration provision shall be null and void.

Changes to These Terms

America Edu reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree with any changes, please stop using the Platform and close your account.
