Alaska has roughly 500 public schools statewide, plus a distinct set of small rural "bush" schools reachable only by plane or boat, which we haven't yet sourced individually. The 2 records below are an urban Anchorage starting sample, not the full state.

Alaska school-level context

Alaska's K-12 system is overseen by the Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), which publishes its own school-profile and support-level data separately from the federal NCES directory used above. Alaska's geography means a meaningful share of its public schools are small, remote "bush" schools serving villages not connected by road -- these tend to have very different enrollment, staffing, and cost profiles than the urban Anchorage schools shown here, and are a priority to add in a future pass.
