These Terms of Use apply when you visit or use america.edu, including its education directories, school and university profiles, program and career information, financial-aid and scholarship resources, Exam Center, search tools, customer accounts, and related features. America EDU is published by the Institute of Developmental Anthropology. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to the practices described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or create an account.
Educational information, not professional advice
America EDU provides independent educational information and research tools. We are not a college, school district, accreditor, licensing authority, examination provider, financial institution, scholarship administrator, government agency, law firm, medical provider, or employment agency. Site content does not constitute legal, financial, medical, admissions, licensing, or other professional advice. It does not replace instructions from an official agency, institution, examination provider, or qualified professional.
Verify important information
Programs, tuition, admissions rules, accreditation, financial-aid requirements, scholarship deadlines, school data, licensing requirements, examination fees, passing scores, eligibility rules, scheduling procedures, and official source documents can change. We work to identify and link authoritative sources, but you are responsible for confirming current information with the organization that controls the decision before applying, paying a fee, submitting personal information, enrolling, or taking an examination. America EDU does not guarantee admission, aid, licensure, certification, employment, a passing score, or any other outcome.
Accounts and email verification
Some features may allow you to create an account using a display name and email address. You must provide information you are authorized to use and keep access to your email account secure. Verification and sign-in links and codes are intended only for the recipient. Do not share them, intercept another person's message, or attempt to access an account that is not yours. A verification link or code may expire, be limited in the number of attempts, or be cancelled when a newer challenge is issued. We may revoke sessions, restrict requests, or suspend an account to protect users and the service.
You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated session. Sign out on shared devices and promptly contact us if you believe your email or America EDU session has been compromised. Account availability is not guaranteed, and features may change as the service develops. Creating an account does not create a student, applicant, adviser, or client relationship with America EDU or any institution described on the site.
Practice tests and Exam Center
Exam Center questions are independent study materials unless a page expressly identifies an authorized official question. Practice material may resemble the subject areas, formats, or skills associated with an examination, but it is not the actual secure exam and does not guarantee that a particular topic will appear. Do not use America EDU to obtain, publish, reconstruct, or distribute confidential examination content. Always follow the current handbook and rules of the responsible licensing authority or testing provider.
Acceptable use
You may browse the site and use published material for personal education, research, and planning. You may not use the site to break the law; harm or impersonate another person; submit deceptive, abusive, infringing, or malicious material; probe or bypass access controls; interfere with service availability; introduce malware; automate requests at a volume that degrades the service; scrape protected or non-public data; evade rate limits; extract unreleased answer keys; or misrepresent America EDU content as an official government, school, licensing, or examination publication.
Reasonable use of public links and short quotations with attribution is welcome. Unless applicable law permits otherwise, you may not reproduce substantial portions of the site's original text, software, design, datasets, or practice questions for resale, competing publication, model training, or systematic redistribution without written permission. Names, logos, and marks belonging to schools, agencies, testing providers, and other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
User submissions and reviews
If the site permits reviews, corrections, messages, or other submissions, you must submit only material you have the right to provide. Do not include sensitive identifiers, confidential records, private contact information, advertising, fabricated experiences, discriminatory attacks, threats, or links intended to evade moderation. You remain responsible for your submission. You give America EDU permission to store, review, moderate, display, format, and remove the submission as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the feature. We may reject or remove content that violates these terms or creates safety, legal, quality, or privacy concerns.
Third-party websites and services
The site links to colleges, schools, government agencies, accreditors, scholarship providers, examination providers, maps, advertising networks, analytics providers, and other third parties. Links are supplied for research and convenience and do not by themselves imply endorsement. Third parties control their own content, availability, security, accessibility, transactions, and policies. Review the destination and its terms before submitting personal information or making a payment. America EDU is not responsible for a third party's acts, omissions, or decisions.
Advertising and editorial independence
America EDU may display advertising or use affiliate, analytics, or measurement services. Advertising does not convert an advertiser into an official source and does not guarantee that a product or service is suitable for you. Editorial and directory content should be evaluated on its cited sources and methodology. Sponsored material, when used, should be identified in a manner appropriate to the placement.
Availability, corrections, and changes
We may add, correct, reorganize, restrict, suspend, or withdraw content or features without guaranteeing continuous availability. We may update these terms when the service, security requirements, or applicable obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update takes effect means that you accept the revised terms. Material historical data or cached pages may not reflect the newest version.
Disclaimers and limitation
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that every page will be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, America EDU and its publisher are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from reliance on site content, third-party services, interrupted access, or misuse of an account. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Enforcement and severability
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including limiting requests, removing submissions, ending sessions, suspending accounts, or preserving and disclosing records when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety. If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it.
